Scope of Careers in Hvac – Ahead of 2009

We are living in a time of job cuts and hiring freezes. Breaking into a good career is becoming increasingly difficult all around. However, there are a few remaining secure careers that hold promise for a better tomorrow. Jobs in the HVAC field are expected to be abundant in the coming year. A career in the HVAC field is essentially risk free. These services will be needed for years to come – regardless of economic climate.

Statistics indicate that more than 163,000 people are already employed today in HVAC technologies. Better yet, employment opportunities in the HVAC field are expected to rise in 2009. The following are four sectors that are expected to produce more jobs for HVACR technicians in 2009.

1. The Blooming Commercial Aviation Sector – The commercial aviation sector is expected to regain its shape in 2009. Commercial aviation is a field that requires sophisticated climate control and air conditioning technologies. If commercial aviation grows as rapidly as projected in the coming year, there will be more career opportunities in aviation for trained HVAC technicians.

2. The Greatly Developing Marine Systems – There are many different Marine systems being developed these days. The air conditioning systems of these International and Domestic Marine vessels have to be regularly maintained. Not to mention the fact that Marine research aquariums being built today require effective climate controls. This brings about many career opportunities for HVAC technicians in the Marine sector.

3. Chemical And Food Processing Industry – The Chemical and food processing industry offers many career opportunities for air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics and installers. This trend is likely to continue through 2009.

4. Service And Installation Of Air Conditioning In Office Spaces And Skyscrapers – There is high demand right now for HVAC technicians that are capable of installing and servicing air conditioners for large commercial buildings and office spaces.

Anyone interested in working in the HVAC field should be well prepared for job challenges and familiar with all aspects of HVAC technologies. Job opportunities may be plentiful but proper HVAC training is needed to better your job prospects. HVAC technicians are also paid based on the quality of their work and their knowledge. When it comes to getting the best HVACR training, the very best campuses are located in Phoenix and Scottsdale. The Phoenix air conditioning colleges and Scottsdale refrigeration colleges offer great career assistance to any aspiring HVAC technician.

The career forecast for HVAC in 2009 will not be gloomy. The demand for HVAC mechanics and installers will be significant in 2009 with the introduction of sophisticated HVAC technologies in almost every walk of life. Good job prospects are waiting for highly skilled heating, air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics and installers – particularly those with the right technical HVAC training.

Start Your Own Home-based House Cleaning Business

Most people have always been afraid in taking the risks and starting out a business of their own. Their reason for this varies from an individual to an individual but mostly is the fear of having mo real job security. For the natural entrepreneurs security comes a s a part of the risk they always take. It comes from designing your life goals. In fact, one can create job security by putting forth the efforts to call their own shots and making key decisions which make sense in your business world.

A friend of mine started a house cleaning business over ten years ago and he has been going from strength to strength. The reason he started the business is because he wanted to call his own shots. According to him his first concern when he started the small family business was the job security but he gradually overcame this hurdle. The next problem was his level of cleaning business education. He did not have much of the needed basic cleaning skills at his belt but he pushed on and learned through mistakes.

He made the following discoveries about his new business venture;

ü Cleaning other peoples houses pays very well

ü The job is quite satisfying to the soul the reason being that leaving behind a thoroughly clean and neat house is quite in order.

ü Being your own boss is simply fantastic

He also found out that he had good research skills. This aided him to keep at par with other professional. Above all he learned that diligence and excellent service provided him with all the job security he needed. According to him cleaning houses is an great idea. Why?

I. Limitless income generating venture

As long as people live in houses cleaning up will always be needed. This being so, you can grow your business as much as you want to, the income generated by engaging in this business is also unlimited.

II. Start generating money within a short period of time

Once you start the business you will discover interested clients within a few days. By the end of the second week you will probably have more clients than you can service and within a months time your business will have grown too big to require addition staff.

III. The start-up capital should always be minimal.

With a $100 you can start your own cleaning business. All you will need is some good cleaning brooms and old rugs to start the gig. This is one business you can start with very little, in fact you don’t need a car or a vacuum cleaner for a start-up.

IV. You will love being your own boss

Nothing compares to the pride you will have when you know the buck always lies with you.

V. You work at your own hours.

When you are empowered with the knowledge that you can take charge of your own working schedule, you take more pride and interest on whatever work you are engaged in.

VI. Getting paid when you want.

Yes this is possible, in fact if you demand so you are paid on a daily bases. Now, what can surpass this?

VII. Cleaning houses is not emotionally or mentally tiring.

This is physical work and you only exhaust your body leaving your brains in tact for other mental duties.

VIII. You can choose who to work with or for.

IX. Work close to your home

There are plenty of cleaning jobs in the neighborhood, thus you don’t have to travel far in search of work.

X. Maximize your profits by starting other cleaning services.

Carpet cleaning, pet cleaning, house sitting steam cleaning, plant-scaping and others are all offshoots of starting a house cleaning business.

What tests would enable science to falsify the hypothesis of a supernatural deity?

The ability to falsify a given hypothesis being one of the most important aspects of the scientific method, by what means could science falsify the idea of a supernatural deity? Especially one defined as, "beyond the realm of space and time, non-material, and non-contingent", that seems so popular these days. If you think science should address the existence of gods, then surely you must know of a way to disprove the existence of gods, otherwise there is no point in applying the methods of science to this area of inquiry.

Thanks.

Supernatural deities are unfalsifiable by definition. And btw, that is not a strength for a theory but a weakness.

Is there a good health insurance for college students?

I am a sophomore in college and have not had health or dental insurance since I was a little girl. I can’t be on my mom’s insurance cause the price will sky rocket. I have a part time job so I don’t get health benefits at work. Is there some type of health insurance that has good coverage but also doesn’t cost too much since I don’t make too much?

In some states, there is no "health insurance that … doesn’t cost too much", period. In some states, all health insurance, for everyone, costs "too much".

In other states, there is health insurance for someone your age that does not cost too much. However, it is not specifically for college students; it is for anyone your age who lives there and meets the medical criteria, whether or not they are a college student.

Finally, some, but not all, colleges offer their own insurance, which may or may not "cost too much", depending on what that particular college offers.

There is good health insurance for college students who attend colleges with good health insurance or live in states with good health insurance. There is not good health insurance for college students who attend colleges without good health insurance and live in states without good health insurance.

Try asking this again with the name of the state where you live, the name of the college, and your age.

Is it legal for finance companies to sell accounts to other finance companies?

The finance company that we got my ring with sold our account to another finance company that we are having a ton of trouble with. They’re extremely unprofessional and I don’t feel like dealing with them any longer. Is it even legal for them to sell out account to someone else?

It is done all of the time.

Just pay it off, then you don’t have to deal with them any longer.

What computer software do you need to make business cards from a personal computer?

I was just wondering what computer software you would need to make business cards or labels from a home computer. Is is easy or even worth the time or money.

You can get Microsoft works. You can make calendars, business cards, brochures, and a lot more stuff. I have it and I use it for almost everything I use for school. It is a great program and I suggest you invest your money in it. Good Luck!

What exactly is considered a retail store?

What exactly is considered a retail store?

Grocery stores? Restaurants? Any place that sells anything?

A retail store (as opposed to other types of stores) is primarily focused on selling small amounts of merchandise to individual consumers. Basically, the grocery store would be considered a "retail outlet", whereas a food distribution warehouse would not.

This distinction has become blurred in recent years with the advent of "big box stores" such as Costco and Sam’s Club. It may be helpful to view such enterprises as "quasi-retail" stores. :)

How can I write to fashion magazines I want to be a writer for them?

I owned a fashion boutique but I gave it to my sister because she wanted to open her own one too and I realised that I want to become a writer for fashion for Heat! Magazine. Since I already have an eye for fashion since my business is running, I think I will have a chance. I’ve opened this boutique for over 4 years now, but I don’t have a degree. It’s all self taught.

easy… write something… and submit it… and althought you may not like this answer, getting into ANY periodical / glossy publishing house is a distant on the horizon dream…you will probably be a stringer or freelancer, staff positions dont happen overnight… and getting IN can take many years of hard work… the big glossies employ the cream… they pay, and they choose… and thier decisons are always based on a solid dependable proven track record… this is a high presure environment… i publish a small community newspaper.. a mere 30 pages once a month… ive never missed a deadline… can you say that?

because at 3am, when your art director is screaming down the phone and the deadline is 6 hours away… youd better not have writers block… and your copy has to be precise, concise and on time.

try it, base the article on your own experience, your own boutique… shoot a few frames, and write 2000 words… then rewrite it, to 1000 words… and again, to 500… which is roughly 1 page of A4…
and submit it to your local community newspaper… (treat it as advertising for the boutique) and see where it goes… you can also enrol at the local community colleges for writing workshops..

When did people first start dieting and watching what they ate?

When did people switch from eating all they could in order to survive to purposely limiting their food intake in order to stay thin/health? When did people start dieting/counting calories in large numbers(mainstream/when was it common)?

Dieting has probably been around for thousands of years, although not in any structured way. It wasn’t very common until the 1800‘s however, simply because people who were overweight were not very common.
Diets that did exist, whenever a prince or bishop decided that not being able to move around freely was a problem, involved no more than a slight reduction in quantity of the same food.

It wasn’t entirely the health factors of being overweight that first got the modern diet off the starting blocks, as well as health concerns, it was the war against sin! Gluttony no less.

It was around two decades later, in 1918 before the calorie left the world of academia and hit the mainstream.
The idea of counting calories became popular around the turn of the 20th century,

At that time, scientist Wilbur Atwater noticed that if you put food in a machine, called a "bomb calorimeter," and burned it, you could measure the ash and heat to find out how much "energy" was released and therefore how much "energy" was in the food. The idea caught on, and people began counting calories — that is, calculating exactly how many calories were consumed when eating particular foods, and "burned" when engaging in different activities.

What service-oriented careers are available to Physics majors?

I am pursuing a physics major with a human rights minor in a university.
I was wondering what kind of service-related careers are available? I know service career
is very broad, but I was wondering what kind of opportunities are available since Physics is
probably a unusual degree for this kind of work.

But I love physics and I don’t want to give up majoring in it also.

Thanks!

A service-oriented career for a student who studied physics and human rights often involves learning to say, "do you want fries with that?"

How long could sound travel before losing energy?

Sound travels at 1100 feet per second. What distance could it conceivably travel before it finally loses it energy? Is it dependent on how much energy is produced in conjunction with that sound?

It will be subject to dampening on a continuous basis. Sound waves are dampened according to an inverse square law, where sound level drops as function of the square of the distance traveled.

Amount of dampening depends on the medium it is traveling through.

The dampening will continue until all energy is dissipated – long after you can still hear it. So, the sound will still propagate, or move, through the medium long after you are unable to hear it.

The length of time you will still be able to hear the sound will depend on how much energy the original sound had, and the medium it traveling in.

How does reducing food waste help the environment now and in the future?

Explain how reducing food waste supports the attempts to be more sustainable.
How does reducing food waste help the environment now and in the future?

Explain how reducing food waste is a responsibility.
Reflect upon whether or not it is our right to waste food in the UK.

The less food wasted, the less food needs to be produced; thus saving the environment which can be left in its pristine state.
Less food production also saves on labour, processing, cartage, storage etc. All of these activities impinge on the environment

Can travel agents use their miles to purchase tickets for customers without first notifying them?

My friend purchased a plane ticket with this and when he tried to link his frequent flier account with the reservation, the airline told him that he cannot earn miles with this since it was purchased with frequent flier miles. I understand tickets purchased with miles cannot accrue miles, but the travel agent never alerted him that she was going to use frequent flier miles and I don’t believe this is standard practice. Is this allowed?
I meant her own miles.

But the underlying issue is that the agent never alerted him about the use of her personal miles.

"If you mean the air miles used to purchase your friend’s plane ticket originally belong to the travel agent, yes it is allowed. For many airlines, the dirt cheap air tickets do not earn air miles too, not every ticket is entitled to air miles. For travel agents, using their own air miles to book a ticket for a customer at a low price is one of their ways to make a profit and there is nothing wrong with it."

This is completely wrong. By taking money and then using his or her miles to book the ticket, the travel agent is selling awards, which is explicitly in violation of the terms and conditions of nearly every single frequent flier program operating throughout the world today. Not only is this practice bad for the seller — the airline may choose a number of penalties for the account holder, including the forfeiture of miles or the closure of the account altogether — but the buyer of the ticket can be penalized as well.

The airline, under the terms of the frequent flier program, usually has the right to terminate the award ticket if they determine that it has been sold in violation of the program’s rules. This means that your friend, if it’s discovered that he purchased an award ticket, may either not get to go on his trip at all, or if they discover it when he’s trying to come home, he may be forced to buy a walkup one-way ticket back home, which could be extremely expensive.

(If either of these things occur, then your friend will only have recourse against the travel agent in trying to get his money back — the airline’s terms are clear that the ticket can be unilaterally cancelled.)

It doesn’t matter whether the ticket would or would not have earned miles based on the fare code — when a person buys a ticket from a travel agent, I venture that they’d have a reasonable expectation that they were buying a revenue ticket, and not just buying an award that runs a risk of being cancelled from under them if the airline questions where the award came from. For that reason, I’d highly suggest that your friend speak to this agent and ask for a refund — barring that, I’d personally consider filing a chargeback with the credit card company, if a card was used, based on misrepresenation of the item purchased.

How do people get rich through internet marketing?

I always hear about how some guy that never went to college became filthy rich through internet marketing.

But I can never find any solid information about what they did.

I know what internet marketing is, but what is the best way to get started?

What exactly did these people do that made them a lot of money?

I already have a BS in Computer Science and am quite familiar with HTML, XML, and CSS.

I found out that these guys that "get rich" by figuring out how to get traffic to whatever site you have that you are either selling something of your own or and affiliate product. They figure out what simply works. There is NOT one "secret method", which every guru is trying to sell you for $997..

I came across someone who had success with their online business and retired at 40.. He started sharing what he and every other successful online business person does.. and I can genuinely tell you it helped me to see how I can seriously be successful myself online. There is VALUE in his info not HYPE..

How can I relate environmental issues to my peers?

I’m doing a speech for speech class about environmental issues (between overfishing, deforestation or invasive species) and I need to find a way to relate this to my fellow classmates.
My professor has asked me to find a way to relate it to my classmates (one of those topics) to make them interested however I’ve been having trouble with it.

Anybody have suggestions of how I can do this?

Size can hit home – the magnitude of losing something wonderous (only one species of bananna is all anyone in the US will ever eat, because of farming practices – this is true, look it up) or the growth of something hideous (eating songbirds is so popular in Europe that soon the skies will be silent – also true)
So, big numbers can be very impressive if used wisely. One pointer I ‘d suggest when working with abstract statistical numbers is to make it concrete for your audience by using metaphors and such. For example – if the subject is about species loss you can draw a comparison: "it’s like taking ten-thousand fish out of the ocean on the hour, every hour, for two years." That’s always helpful.

Does an Environmental Science branch off into different types of science?

I am looking into becoming an Environmental Scientist when I am finished high school (Currently in Grade 10). But does Environmental Science branch off into more sciences, such as Environmental Biologist, or Economist?

I have looked into the Environmental Institute at Carleton (Ottawa, ON) .. but it only mentions Environmental Scientist, as if it’s a specific term. Although it just sounds like such a general term to me.

Is Environmental Science a specific career/field, or is it very general?

Environmental Science is a highly multidisciplinary. Just a few of the topics that you will have to study include…

1. Biology
2. Geology
3. Chemistry
4. Physics
5. Engineering
6. Sociology
7. Health
8. Anthropology
9. Economics
10. Statistics
11. Philosophy/Ethics

When clicking around travel websites, which sections do you find the most helpful?

When planning a trip online, you can do more than book the flight. Many websites offer travel guides, lists of destination activities, etc. We’d love to know which online travel tools you rely on the most.

For me, I like to know more about the destination cities or countries. the facilities, information about cool place and tourism area, etc. I also would like to know about the accomodation that travel agencies provide. About the flight, I would like to know the plane type, the services they give especially for a long journey, and all kind of important information such as baggage limit etc.
