How can I buy travel vouchers to give as a gift?

Posted by admin | 30/08/10 | Tagged Travel

I would like to buy travel vouchers to give as a gift. They would be for travel originating in the UK – most likely to European destinations.
Ideally they could be redeamed online and could be spent on both air Travel and hotels.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
I want to get the vouchers from a UK based company or website.

You can buy airline vouchers directly from the airline – most offer them on their website. Virgin Atlantic offers "Virgin Vouchers" in denominations of £5, £10, £20 and £50. They’re sent out in a stylish wallet along with a list of all the places where they can be used.

Here’s the website w/ more info and where the vouchers can be used: http://www.thevirginvoucher.co.uk/info/where-can-i-spend-my-vouchers,28,AR.html

I am trying to come up with a list of Technologies that are likely to become widespread 10-20 years from now and essentially replace whatever we use now. The ultimate goal is to invest a certain amount of money into corresponding companies and forget for a decade or so.

So far, I got geothermal and tidal/wave power, genetically engineered crops, therapeutic stem cells and RNA interference, smart traffic controls, biodegradation, wireless electric grids. What else?..

I think General Electric (GE) will probable own or out do most of those companies so I would go with a conglomerate. !0-20 years they’ll buy all the successful power companies, maybe tidal/wave power, wireless electric grids. They are still involved in new electric technology and aircraft engines. Lots of companies still have other names, but are owned by a conglomerate such as GE.

What is the proper way to wear a sports bra?

Posted by admin | 30/08/10 | Tagged Sports

If I want to go to the gym in just a sports bra, how do I wear it lol?

Could you be interested in learning more about internet marketing then I suggest you read the Commission Blueprint 2.0 Review or the Niche Blueprint 2.0 Review both of which can be found just by clicking those links.

Like do I wear the Sports bra and the sports bra alone? Because it seems like everyone else does that, but I can’t. My boobs (C cup, not huge, but still) jiggle around too much and it hurts.
OR, do I wear a regular bra underneath my sports bra. I never see anyone do that, but it’s the only way I’m comfortable running..

Help lol?

I usually wear a regular bra under a sports bra. It’s the best for better support.

So I’m taking Chemistry instead of Earth Science my Sophomore year, so next year I have a choice of three things:
1. Physics H
2. IB Biology
3. Anatomy

I’m planning to be a computer engineer when I grow up, so Physics would be the right choice?

What do you learn in Physics? For the most part is it difficult? more or less difficult than chemistry?

If you want to be an engineer, go with physics. You’ll need to take a lot of it in college, so get a head start on it now (even though you’ll need calculus-based physics in college). The basic intro physics course, at high school or college level will cover Newtonian mechanics, electricity and magnetism, waves, optics, maybe a little special relativity or intro to basic quantum mechanics. It’s a lot more math than chemistry, and that might trip some people up. I thought chemistry was easier, personally.

I’m 18 years old and finishing an extra semester in high school. After January 25 I will be done and have the spring and summer to work. I am looking to get a job but want to avoid retail. What kinds of jobs (part time or full) should I be looking for? I only have retail experience but I have excellent recommendations. Any suggestions?

Education.mypressonline.com – I found such internship info here. It has lots of internships, job openings and scolarships for college students.

What is a cheap digital photography camera?

Posted by admin | 30/08/10 | Tagged Photography

Next year I’ll be taking a photography class in school. Considering my birthday is soon, I figured that I’d get it now. We really don’t have that much money, so what is a cheap (or decently priced) Photography camera that takes good pictures? Thanks.

You may want to check with your counselor/teacher about what kind of camera you need. Are you sure you’re not supposed to have a 35mm FILM camera?

Be sure to check!!! At my HS, everyone has to have film cameras.

Anyway (happy birthday, btw–mine was Saturday), it depends on how much cash you have.

~less than $100–not sure I can help here. Check out craigslist for your area if you only have like $50 to spend. You can probably pick up a 5 megapixel camera for $20 or so

~$100-200 I suggest the Fuji s5700. It’s on sale at CIrcuit city right now for $150.

If you can afford a DSLR, go for it!

btw, I would stay far away from Kodak cameras. From my experience, they take the noisiest pictures ever!! (noisy meaning grainy)

Don’t shop just based on how many megapixels the camera features. Kodak, for example, is bad with this–their cameras usually offer high MPs for low prices, but you get what you pay for.

Once you find a model online that you think you’d like, check out www.flickr.com and look up the camera model to see some sample shots by that camera to see what it’s capable of.

Good luck!!

I’m 14 years old and in the 8th grade, it’s always been a goal of mine to have a career in Marine life and Animals.
I want to know what education do I need to work at a zoo or aquarium.

What kind of job do you want? It just depends. If you are just looking for a job during school, most likely you will need to apply for a volunteer position since you don’t even have a degree yet. When I had to do some volunteer work, I had to apply for their volunteer program and that included writing a short entry on why I am interested in working for the zoo, what are my hobbies, how do I plan to help, etc. And I had to do it a few weeks in advance, since it has to be reviewed and they get lots of them. Go look up what zoo you want to work for and get their application from them. Usually you can also let them know what time schedule works out best for you.

If you want to know about what kinds of degrees or programs you need for a certain feild, they all have their own requirements. Here are some of the areas of work you can get at a zoo: marketing/communications, Care Taker, Zookeeper, Mammal Keeper, Marine Animal Internships, Horticulture internships, vetrenarian, Diver Officer/Volunteer Diver Supervisor, HVAC Mechanic, Education Intern, Aquarist, Play Program Facilitator, Bird Programs, Animal Trainers, Medical Records/Animal Registrar.

There are a ton of jobs available at zoos since it takes so many people and programs to keep it running. A Zoo isn’t just a place to visit animals, there are many many things it does behind the scenes. Some places care for animals and send them back to their Homes, some breed, some places protect them, do research studies, and zoos also provide services for other organizations such as marine life research and tagging.

So all of these are jobs that you could do and each has their own education standards like Marine Biology for the aquarium jobs, Botany for the plant-life and Horticulture, Engineering for the technician jobs, Inter-Personal Communications for the marketing jobs, etc. First decide what job you want, then see what education that career requires.

I want to work for travel channel, it must be my job to travel the world. Im studying film directing and taking photography courses. How and where do you think i should get a job that will allow me to Travel?
Thanks a mil…

Photographers for National Geographic are at the top of their field. Don’t expect to get an offer right out of photography school. Look for a job that pays the rent first. Having discouraged you, let me say that there is hope. I attended one of their seminars, which was an excellent orientation to the field. Here is the link to the schedule: http://ngtravelerseminars.com/. In the one I attended, there was a section for pitching ideas. If they heard something that sounded interesting then they pursued it. They seek the kind of imagery that tells a story. It’s not the stuff you can buy in a postcard store. So travel and bring your camera. Look for the unique, rare, or surprising and which conveys an emotion or evokes one in the viewer. Build up your experience. Hone your skills. Be self-critical. A good photographer can get a winning shot with a 3 megapixel camera, while a hack will still get junk from an $8,000 DSLR.

I want to give a brief introduction of the technologies of how to connect internet, such as DSL, isdn and so on, in my paper. However, as a software engineer, I do not know much about the communication Technologies. So I hope someone will be kind enough to give me some hints or offer me the way to solve the problem?
what’s more, is there any useful paper or review in the field?

Thee is DSL, ADSL, Cable, Dial-up, satlelite…on and and on…..wifi is a distrobution of any of these through radio signals…..also look up tcp/ip (vincent cerf), PPPOE (point to point proto over ethernet)
